Fixed bollards are set permanently and suit positions that never need to open up, such as building frontages, walkway edges and protected corners. Removable bollards lift out of a ground sleeve or unbolt from a flat plate, which suits delivery bays, service access routes and parking areas that need to open for vehicles at certain times. Streetscape makes both a removable sleeve and a removable flat plate version.
Steel bollards have a slimmer profile and are lighter to handle, which suits tight spaces, indoor areas and any position that may need to be removed or repositioned. Concrete bollards are far heavier and harder to shift, which suits open public spaces and unsupervised roadside positions. Streetscape manufactures both, with 33 concrete designs alongside these 14 in steel.
