Which material? Concrete bollards are heavy, fixed in place and effectively impossible to remove without equipment, which makes them the usual choice for perimeter protection, pedestrian separation and municipal streetscapes. Steel bollards are slimmer and come in removable and chain-linked versions, so they suit access control points, parking areas and loading zones where the layout needs to change.
